VisitBritain reveals top visitor attractions
Visits to attractions in Britain have grown a further 3% in the last year, according to the 2007 Visitor Attractions survey from VisitBritain, the national tourism agency. The majority of attraction sectors have grown in popularity. Tom Wright, VisitBritain chief executive, said: “This research demonstrates the demand for all types of attractions in England.

“Come rain or shine our world renowned attractions offer something for all visitors, whatever the season. Current campaigns are encouraging even more people to enjoy our attractions in these challenging times.”

Where we’re going:

North East - Cragside House, Gardens and Estate, High Force Waterfall, the Biscuit Factory, Bishop Aukland Town Hall, The Alnwick Garden.

North West - Congleton Park, Tate Liverpool, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Windermere Lake Cruises.

Yorkshire/The Humber - The Priory Church of St Mary and St Cuthburt, RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo  and Xscape Castleford.

East Midlands - Markeaton Craft Park Village, Bradgate Country Park, Rosliston Forestry Centre and New Walk Museum and Art Gallery.

West Midlands - Malvern Hills, Cadburys World, National Memorial Arboretum and the Royal Air Force Museum. 
East of England - River Lea Country Park and Woburn Safari Park.
 
London - The British Museum, The Tower of London, The Wallace Collection and London Zoo.

South East - Xscape Milton Keynes, Canterbury Cathedral, Mercedes-Benz World and Waddesdon.

South West - The Ashton Court Estate, The Eden, Paignton Zoo, Bath Abbey and West Somerset Railway.
